Police: Man solicits child on Facebook

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators said they’ve charged a man in connection with an online child solicitation investigation.

Wilmington Police charged Christopher Farmer, 26, on charges of soliciting a child through a computer and disseminating obscenity. He’s in jail under at $500,000 bond. Farmer was arrested Thursday following an ongoing investigation, police said.

Details of the investigation are not being released in order to protect the victim.
