Armed robbery reported in Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an armed robbery downtown.

The incident happened Sunday night around 8:30 p.m. at the corner of 2nd Street and Nun Street.

Police said the victim, a 23-year-old female, was grabbed from behind by a man. That man held something sharp to the victim’s neck and took her wallet. Police said the victim reported the man running away on 2nd Street.

There was no description given for the robber.
