Man arrested for deadly hit and run

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have made an arrest in this weekend’s fatal hit and run.

Richard Pait, 24, of Bladenboro is booked in the New Hanover County jail on a $20,000 bond.

Police said Pait hit and killed 58-year-old Thomas Kramek Saturday night in the 200 block of Military Cutoff Road. Kramek was pushing a shopping cart across the street just after 8:30 p.m. when a small, dark-colored Sedan hit him. A witness told police the car had a delivery sign on its roof, and a lot of front end damage.

Pait faces several charges. His first court appearance is Tuesday.
