Man killed in Wilmington weekend shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating a Sunday shooting that left a man dead.

The incident happened on the 1500 block of South 15th Street just after 11:00 p.m. Police say they found one victim in the area suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Hisan Jamonte Polk, 23, was pronounced dead at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Eight shell casings were found in the area. Police are asking for anyone to contact investigators with information.
