School district employee charged with child porn

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man who works for the county school system has been charged after investigators say they found an image of a naked child on his computer.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office charged Charles Graham Yarborough with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to spokesman Sgt. Jerry Brewer. He says deputies arrested Yarborough at his Alex Drive home this morning. He bonded out of jail a short time later, Brewer says.

A New Hanover County Schools spokeswoman says Yarborough is a garage foreman in the district’s Transportation Department. He has worked for the school system since 1999. She says human resources will review his employment status.
