Police investigating bank robbery at Wilmington BB&T

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are still searching for a man they say robbed a Wilmington BB&T Friday evening.

Wilmington Police say around 6 p.m., a man walked into the BB&T at 3417 Oleander Drive and handed the teller a note saying he had a gun. Officers say the man took off in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash.

Police say the man is described as a slim, white male, who was wearing a pea coat-style jacket and a blue cap. Anyone with information on the bank robbery is asked to call the Wilmington Police Department.
