Former Brunswick Co. deputy convicted on prostitution charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County jury has convicted a former deputy on two counts of soliciting a prostitute and one count of soliciting crimes against nature.

Superior Court Judge Gail Adams sentenced Timothy Paul Caulder to a suspended sentence of 45 days with 18 months of unsupervised probation.

Caulder’s crimes happened on two separate occasions in August 2013. He was fired after an internal investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
