Mary C. Williams Elementary staff goes reverse Trick-or-Treating

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Teachers from Mary C. Williams Elementary School in Wilmington made the best of their half day by loading buses with candy, pencils, books and other goodies to do some very special Trick-or-Treating.

The staff went reverse Trick-or-Treating by bringing the goodies to the children at their homes. Teachers say this event is a great way to get out in the community and get kids excited about school.

“That’s what it’s all about: Having a good time, getting together with the kids and the community, and showing them just how wonderful school can be and how much we care about them,” teacher Romi Wheeler said.

The kids were grinning from ear to ear as they took their treats home to enjoy and share with their families.
