CASTLE HAYNE, NC — Authorities seized 14 pounds of marijuana during a Wednesday raid on a mobile home in Castle Hayne, setting in motion a case against a suspected network bringing drugs into New Hanover County.

The New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested 48-year-old Yvette Regina Williams after finding the marijuana in her home in the 3000 block of Davis Lane, a quiet neighborhood on the northern end of the county, officials said.

The marijuana, which investigators said would fetch about $33,600 on the street, was found in Williams’ bedroom closet. It was packaged into vacuum-sealed bags that were crammed into a black Pierre Cardin suitcase.
