WPD investigating after man is robbed by group at gunpoint

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say several suspects wearing hoodies robbed a man at gunpoint Monday night, taking off with the victim’s cell phone.

Wilmington Police say it happened at 11 North Liberty Court just after 9:30 p.m. That’s where officers say four men in grey hoodies and jeans robbed a man. Police say the victim was not able to provide a detailed description of the suspects, but he told them three of the four men had guns during the robbery.

Officers say the suspects took off with the victim’s cell phone.
