Man arrested for breaking into vehicles at Cape Fear Museum

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man was arrested for breaking into vehicles in the parking lot of the Cape Fear Museum Saturday afternoon, according to Wilmington Police.

A citizen called WPD around 12:50 pm Saturday as they saw 18 year-old Tyshawn Herd breaking into cars.

Officers located Herd on the scene with $1,200 to $2,000 worth of property.

He was charged with two counts of Felony Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Felony Larceny.

According to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Herd is under at $25,000 bond.
