Police searching for man accused of robbing, threatening store clerk

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are looking for the man accused of stealing items from a Home Depot before threatening to kill a clerk.

The incident happened Wednesday evening after 6:30 p.m. at the store on Eastwood Road, police said. Officials say a man stole a number of items from the store and was confronted by a clerk in the parking lot. There, police say the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the store employee. The suspect then left on a BMX bike.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, dark hair with a goatee.
