Two arrested for larceny charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit arrested two people Tuesday on larceny charges.

According to a press release, the incident happened on December 11 when Kyle Hugh Kenon, 21, and Courtney Margaret Mittelstadt, 38, walked into Callahan’s of Calabash Nautical Gifts located at 9973 Beach Drive SW in Calabash.

Investigators said Kenon took over $1000 worth of merchandise, mainly jewelry, and left the store. He is charged with felony larceny and is being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $10,000 bond.

Mittelstadt is charged with conspiring to commit felony larceny. She too is being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility and is under a $5,000 bond
