FIRST ON 3: Former Brunswick Co. deputy arrested again

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A former Brunswick County deputy who is on probation, is in trouble again.

According to the New Hanover County jail, Timothy Paul Caulder was booked Monday afternoon on a charge that he harassed a juror. He was released shortly after on a $10,000 secured bond.

You might remember, a jury convicted Caulder in October on two counts of soliciting a prostitute, and one count of soliciting crimes against nature. Superior Court Judge Gail Adams sentenced Caulder to a suspended sentence of 45 days with 18 months of unsupervised probation. Caulder’s crimes happened on two occasions in August 2013. He was fired after an internal investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

WWAY has not yet confirmed whether the juror Caulder is accused of harassing was involved in that trial.
