Four arrested after truck stop robbery near Isabel Holmes Bridge

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office have arrested four people accused in an armed robbery that took place early Wednesday.

Investigators say it happened around 2:30 a.m. at the truck stop at the base of the the Isabel Holmes Bridge. The victim said he was fueling his truck when a black male wearing a hoodie approached him pointing a silver handgun. The victim said the suspect took his wallet and cash. Deputies say the robber fled the truck stop in a white Cadillac.

Deputies say a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle was located on 10th and Dock St. The four occupants in the vehicle were arrested and charged. Jerry Smith, 35, Jasmine Glaspie, 22, Eunice Jacobs, 28, and Richard Sloan, 21, are all facing robbery with a dangerous weapon charge, according to a news release.
