Several weekend crashes kill at least 11 people in North Carolina
CHARLOTTE (AP) — Weekend crashes killed at least eleven people in North Carolina and injured ten others.
The causes of the accidents ranged from speeding to improper merging.
A couple and their seven-month-old son died in a wreck in Salisbury after their car crossed the center line and was struck by two pickup trucks on Saturday.
Twenty-seven-year-old Nicholas Dunaway, his 21-year-old wife, Whitney Ann Dunaway and their son, Caden Lee Dunaway, died. A child was hurt.
Three 23-year-old men died in a single-vehicle wreck in Raleigh on Sunday. They were Jorge Perez San Juan, of Garner; Cresencio Torentino, of Raleigh; and Carlos Alejandro Lopez, of Raleigh.
Other fatal wrecks happened near in Mecklenburg, Robeson and Cleveland counties.
