UPDATE: Boiling Spring Lakes boil advisory lifted

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Officials with the Brunswick County Public Utilities say it is now safe to drink the water without boiling it in the Boiling Spring Lakes area.

In a news release this afternoon, officials say lab analysis of water samples show the water is safe for human consumption.

The boil advisory was issued Tuesday night after a temporary outage at the Bell Swamp Booster Pump Station.
