Some gas prices inching down
ASHEVILLE (AP) — Gasoline prices have inched below three dollars a gallon in some areas after shooting up quickly two weeks ago.
The average price across the state for unleaded regular was three-dollars-seven-cents. AAA Carolinas Motor Club says the national average is $3.16.
In the spring, gasoline sold for well below three dollars a gallon.
The motor club says some relief is on the horizon and that gas prices are expected to drop slightly through July Fourth, unless hurricanes disrupt supplies.
