Wilmington police looking for armed robbery suspect

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are looking for a gunman after a convenience store was reportedly robbed overnight.

According to Wilmington Police, a man with a gun was wearing a mask when he tried to rob the S & E Food Mart at 901 South 3rd Street around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

The suspect reportedly demanded money over the counter.

No one was hurt, and no word yet on whether the suspect got away with any cash.

Police are looking for a suspect, and say he is a young, black male.
