Traffic Advisory: Parts of Market Street closing

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Here’s a traffic alert for you this weekend.

The NCDOT is closing a section of Market St. Sunday night as part of the Kerr Avenue widening project.

The northbound lanes of Market St. from Cinema Drive to Kerr Avenue will be closed from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. This will happen every night until next Friday, Feb. 27.

Traffic will be detoured through Cinemas Drive and all lanes will be open throughout the day.

Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area and to expect delays.
