Record store owner pleads guilty to secret peeping
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — In a New Hanover County courtroom Monday, a man pleaded guilty to secret peeping.
Timothy Freeman, 38, was arrested in late 2013. Freeman was accused of hiding digital video cameras in the bathroom of Yellow Dog Discs in the University Commons Shopping Center on S. College Rd. The warrants say he used them to watch a man and a woman undress.
Freeman pleaded guilty to two counts of felony secret peeping. Freeman was sentenced to 12-34 months suspended sentence with 36 months of probation. He will not be registered as a sex offender. A judge also ordered him to undergo a mental health evaluation.
