Teen facing charges for bringing gun on school property

WILMINGTON — A Wilmington teen accused of bringing a gun onto school property faces multiple charges.

New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 19-year-old Terry Earl Hooper around 9:30 Friday night at the football jamboree at legion stadium.

A witness reported seeing Hooper involved in a possible drug transaction.

Deputies struggled with Hooper during the arrest. He’s charged with possession of a firearm on school property, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.

Hooper is being held in the New Hanover County jail on $5,100 bond.
