Lejeune Marine dies from gunshot on base

CAMP LEJEUNE (AP) — Military police at Camp Lejeune are investigating the death of a Marine who died from a gunshot wound at the base.

The military hasn't released the Marine's name or details of the death.

The victim was a member of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Marine was pronounced dead about 7 p.m. yesterday at the base hospital.
