Labor Day weekend a success for local businesses
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Many local business owners said this is one of the busiest Labor Day weekends in years.
Barbara Morton has owned Alligator Pie children’s boutique for 11 years. She says Saturday was especially busy and they saw a good amount of customers on Sunday, as well. She was hoping Monday would be just as successful.
Morton says her shop thrives off both locals and visitors. She said, “People know us, so those who come to the beach on a regular basis are familiar with us so I think we have our regular followers, but we did see a lot of new customers who were out exploring.”
