Man charged with over 30 DWIs sentenced to 8 years

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — A man charged with thirty DWI’s in 20 years was just sentenced to eight years in prison.

John Dickinson pleaded guilty to four more DWI charges and two counts of identity fraud in a New Hanover County courtroom Monday morning.

In an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 3 earlier this year Dickinson admitted to using friends’ birth certificates to get a new drivers license each time his was taken away for a DWI.
