Pender Memorial Hospital to raise rates

PENDER COUNTY — Pender Memorial Hospital could be raising its rates by four percent in the coming year.

The hospital’s chief financial officer says the increase would raise more than $100,000 to help offset inflation.

The hike would be the lowest increase in the region.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center has proposed a five-percent increase.
