Fugitive wanted in several states caught

A fugitive wanted in several states has been captured in our area. Nineteen-year-old Clifforinado Dye was arrested by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

Dye was wanted in South Dakota on rape, burglary and robbery charges. Dye was also on probation in Pender County, for charges related to a stolen vehicle.

Dye is being held in the New Hanover County detention facility under no bond, awaiting extradition to South Dakota.
