Courthouse repairs continue for damaged room

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — A spokeswoman for Brunswick County says a courtroom damaged by a water leak two weeks ago remains closed and there is no word on when it will reopen.

On March 12, county officials said a sprinkler leak started in Courtroom 4 on the second floor of the building, and when crews tried to repair the leak, it turned into a gusher seeping into other courtrooms.

The county’s spokeswoman says repairs are still being made; some hearings were temporarily moved to the commission building but are all back in the courthouse.
