Apartments under repair after fires

WILMINGTON — The Canterbury Woods apartment complex is under repair, after a fire there. A fire this past July damaged eight apartments in the complex.

The property manager there did not return calls from WWAY Tuesday to confirm the timeline of the repairs. But when we drove by the damaged units appeared to be under construction.

The Keys apartments are also rebuilding after a fire there. One of the buildings is believed to have been struck by lightning in late July.
People in eight apartments were displaced. Several of them have since moved into other apartments in the keys.

It’s expected to be another few months before all of the repairs are complete.
