Dozens of car break-ins reported in Hampstead area

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Sheriff’s Office is investigating numerous reports of car break-ins.

Investigators say about two dozen break-ins have been reported in the Hampstead area. They say the reason for these break-ins is that the vehicles are unlocked.

The sheriff urges people to take valuables out of the car and to remember to lock them. If anyone has information about these thefts, call the sheriff’s office at 910-259-1212.
