Raleigh reporter-turned-author releases ‘Smotherhood’ book
WILMINGTON — It’s often a chore in itself, finding time to balance family and a career. Raleigh crime reporter and now author Amanda Lamb takes a humorous approach to the topic with her new book “Smotherhood.”
Inside the book Lamb shares real-life stories of what it’s like to work long days as a reporter and then come home to a husband and two young children.
The author hopes readers will laugh while about relating what it’s like being a mom always on the go.
Lamb said, “We are uber-moms, we’re doing everything 100 percent. I wanted to share stories, wanted women to understand it’s tough being a mom, you can say it, it doesn’t make you a bad person.”
Lamb will be signing copies of her book Wednesday night at seven p.m. at Barnes and Noble in Wilmington.
