Famous author changes Costco

Shopping at Costco was a special experience Sunday for some people in Wilmington. They got a chance to meet and greet best-selling author Nicholas Sparks.

Sparks was on hand to sign hundreds of his books while promoting his new one, “The Choice.”

Sparks is also a favorite in Hollywood. His books “A Walk to Remember,” “Message in a Bottle,” and “The Notebook,” have all made it to the big-screen.

He says it’s tough getting used to crowds, but he appreciates the support.

“I’m always amazed that anybody shows up at all, I do the best that i can, but it touches me always,” Sparks said.

Sparks has been a North Carolina resident for the past fifteen years.
