Bladen Co. man charged with child rape

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bladen County man is in jail charged with raping a child. The Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested Gil Antonio Juare Garcia, 33, of Elizabethtown, Friday night and charged him with first degree sex offense with a child and first degree rape of a child.

Investigators say Garcia is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an 11-year-old. They say the first degree sex offense occurred October 28. The rape happened between June and August.

Garcia is in the Bladen County Jail under a $125,000 secured bond.
