State Rep. Martin won’t run against Dole for Senate

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Democratic state Rep. Grier Martin says he will not run for the U.S. Senate next year against GOP incumbent Elizabeth Dole.

Martin is the latest Democrat to withdraw from consideration from the race, leaving only Chapel Hill corporate financial adviser Jim Neal in the race to challenge Dole as she seeks a second term in office.
