First two days of State Fair outpace 2006 attendance mark
RALEIGH (AP) — With no weather to keep people away, the North Carolina State Fair drew more than 148,000 people for the first two days.
Fair spokesman Brian Long says almost 52,000 people went to the fair on the opening day on Friday.
Saturday’s attendance topped 96,000.
For the first two days of the 2006 fair, attendance was reported at 147,490.
