Family feuding over Civil War grave

Behind the Upper Laurel Baptist Church lies a peaceful graveyard where both Confederate and Union soldiers were laid to rest. And now a family is feuding whether their ancestor a Civil War soldier fought for the south or the north.

Stephen Shook may have been in both armies, having deserted the south for the north. A distant relative, Richard Hill, has been charged with desecrating the grave after replacing the union stone with a confederate one.

Other family members just want it left alone.
