Police charge 13 at Chapel Hill Halloween party
CHAPEL HILL (AP) — Police say they charged 13 people during a Halloween street party that drew about 82,000 revelers to Chapel Hill’s downtown.
Charges ranged from assault to disorderly conduct and resisting police officers.
Emergency crews had 31 calls and officials say 21 involved intoxication with eight people taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police say the annual party was milder than last year when 27 people were arrested and 18 required hospital treatment.
