Man accused of molestation in country on work visa

WILMINGTON — We have new information about the man accused of molesting a young girl at the Cape Fear Fair and Expo Friday.

Reyaldo Martagon, 23, was in the country on a work visa from Mexico.

The alleged victim’s mother says he was working at the fair Friday night when he touched her daughter inappropriately.

Martagon is charged with indecent liberties with a child, sexual battery and assault on a child under 12.

We repeatedly tried to contact the company in charge of hiring for the fair. Our calls were not returned.

Martagon is currently in the New Hanover County jail under $100,000 bond.
