Wilmington’s business community thanks area reps

WILMINGTON — Wilmington’s business community said thank you to the area’s representatives in Raleigh Monday morning.

The greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce held a breakfast honoring state legislators for their work.

Each year the chamber gives the delegation a legislative agenda to work on at the capitol.
Organizers say the lawmakers did a good job this year.

But business leaders are already looking ahead to the next session.

“Still working on transportation. Still working on tax. Still working on healthcare, and lots of those things.”

Tom Cunningham says chamber members will start meeting right after the New Year to start building the new legislative agenda.
