Preparing for cold and flu season
The American Lung Association estimates most children catch six to eight colds a year, while adults will suffer through two to four.
Doctors say an important way to stop the spread of a cold or the flu is for kids to keep their hands clean and away from their nose, mouth and eyes.
Kathy Nash is a mother of eight and a registered nurse. She says she already has a plan in case her kids get sick.
Nash said, “Basically bed rest, seclusion, you got to change their pillow cases. Vitamin C and chicken soup, homemade.”
Home tested advice, but perhaps the right prescription for feeling better.
