Wilmington man found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted robbery

WILMINGTON — The jury is in. A Wilmington man is guilty of first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.

Tuesday Maurice Miller was found guilty of shooting and killing Pervis Owens Jr. on 10th Street in January of 2006.

Miller, now 20, was 18 at the time of the murder.

The jury sentenced miller to life in prison without possibility of parole.
