Airlie Gardens Illuminated

It may have felt like spring outside today but it was a winter wonderland at Airlie Gardens this evening.

Tonight was the last night of Enchanted Airlie. All thirty acres of the historic gardens were illuminated by Christmas lights and decorations. Other highlights were the outdoor and indoor model train displays. The exhibit has been open to the public for the past few weeks.

“We’re having a wonderful time,” said Kim Lillian, a Wilmington Resident who attended with her family. “The lighted paths are fantastic and all of the lit trees are absolutely beautiful. I think this is the last night so I hate it if anyone was not able to make it and enjoy it.”

Tonight’s exhibit was sold out.
