Wilmington man sentenced for bank robberies
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — More than two years after he robbed two banks just days apart, Reggie Beckton has been sentenced for his crimes. Beckton was sentenced to 300 months in jail followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay more than $2,500 in restitution.
On September 12, 2012, Beckton was convicted on one count of Bank Robbery and one count of Bank Robbery, Aiding and Abetting.
Beckton robbed the RBC Centura Bank on Market Street on August 17, 2010. Just nine days later on August 26, 2010, Beckton robbed the new Bridge Bank on South College Road.
