McCrory appoints Wilmington attorney to Transportation Board

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Gov. Pat McCrory has tapped a Wilmington attorney to represent southeastern North Carolina on the state’s Board of Transportation.

The Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee was now review Michael Lee’s appointment.

Lee, a Republican, has twice run for state Senate. In 2008 he lost to then incumbent Democrat Julia Boseman. He lost the Republican primary to Thom Goolsby two years later.
