Columbus Co. man gets 6 month jail sentence after killing friend in crash
Nicholas Kent Wilkson, 20,entered the guilty pleas Columbus County Superior Court to felony death by motor vehicle and driving while impaired. He also pleaded guilty in district court to one count of misdemeanor driving after consuming alcohol under 21, in an unrelated incident four months after the fatal wreck.
Wilkinson was sentenced to six months in jail and three years of supervised probation. He was also ordered to undergo alcohol and psychological evaluations and treatment and to serve 75 hours community service.
