Suspect caught after wrecking truck, fleeing on foot
WILMINGTON — Suspect Jason Kessler was caught after hitting two cars, wrecking his pick up truck and fleeing on foot.
Officers nabbed him near fourth and castle streets in Wilmington a little after five p.m. Tuesday.
The whole thing started out near Highway 421 when New Hanover County deputies questioned Kessler about trespassing on some hunting land.
He jumped in his truck and took off.
It turns out he’s wanted on a fugitive warrant from Pennsylvania for armed robbery.
Kessler now faces a litany of new charges here in North Carolina including speeding to elude arrest, assault with a deadly weapon and fugitive from justice.
