SC bus driver duct tapes children

GREENWOOD COUNTY — A bus driver in Greenwood County, SC has been charged with eight counts of cruelty to children.

Investigators say 35-year-old Helen Curry admitted to taping the children’s mouths shut with duct tape after they misbehaved.

Curry says she gave the children a choice of putting on the tape or being written up for bad behavior.

Deputies say the students were mostly boys and ranged in age from five to 12 years old.
