$17 million in renovations planned for Snipes
WILMINGTON — One New Hanover County school is getting more than just an upgrade.
Monday night the school board voted to spend an additional $7 million to rebuild most of Snipes magnet school.
That brings the total dollar amount in planned renovations to the school to more than $17 million. The current auditorium and gym will remain.
The three mobile classrooms will be brought into the main building, so now all grade levels will be under one roof.
The project is scheduled to be finished by August of 2010.
