Wilmington kids go green
WILMINGTON — It’s never too early to start going green. The Wilmington Fit for Fun Center hosted a “go green, be keen” even Friday for children up to five years old. They learned about animals, recycling and how to plant seeds.
Center director Colleen Farrell said learning how to help the environment is an invaluable lesson.
“We feel that it’s really important that everyone start to take an interest in helping our environment, and we’re starting at the zero-to-five age group,” Farrell said.
Other activities included some tasty treats and art projects with recycled materials.
