Fire destroys apartments

Fire investigators believe an electrical problem on a second floor balcony may have sparked Monday night’s apartment building fire.

The fire at Mill Creek Court off Kerr Avenue in Wilmington engulfed an eight-unit building.

About twenty people lost their homes, but no one was hurt.

Between the flames, smoke and water, Firefighters believe the building is a total loss and
damage may run in excess of one million dollars.
